The community of Bearspaw is a hamlet in the county of Rocky View in southern Alberta, Canada. Located a few minutes northwest of Calgary’s city limits and 10 minutes east of the Town of Cochrane on Highway 1A, this once primarily agricultural area is now chiefly comprised of acreages and estates. |

While Calgary, Airdrie and Cochrane are all quickly accessed from Bearspaw, the hamlet itself provides some unique amenities. The Bearspaw Country Club features an 18 hole golf course, designed and constructed by Bill Newis and opened for play in 1984. The Bearspaw Farmer’s Market with 100 vendors runs from June to October. There are 2 schools in the community - The Bearspaw Christan school (K to 12) and the Bearspaw School (K to 8), a community center with programs for all ages, a spa and fine dining, as well as a riding academy. |
